Join us for dinner and dancing on the mountain!

Blues & BBQ - Supper Club and Dance - Friday, June 10

Back in the day, supper clubs were considered a “destination” and people would dress in their best attire, hit the town, and head to the ballrooms with the intention of spending their whole evening from cocktail hour to after-dinner entertainment, night club style. The club featured a casual and relaxed atmosphere and the patrons knew a live orchestra would play their favorite tunes. Everyone would be dancing. Let’s bring back the tradition!

There will be a brief dance lesson before the band begins. And for optimum fun, lessons are provided the week before the event. Email elayne@elaynesdance.com for details.

Dinner will be provided by Girls Gone BBQ; menu details to follow. Feel free to bring your own refreshment of choice.

$60 per person for both dinner and dancing in our recently renovated Dining Hall. The theme will be “Blues and BBQ”. Dinner at 7pm (as usual) and live music starting after the dance lesson. Blues is the dance and then the band “Brick Fields” will play Blues music for our dancing pleasure! Brick Fields of Northwest Arkansas have won the hearts of fans from all over the world with tunes that are solid as a firm conviction. Their sound has been called “a cleansing of the soul” by Nashville’s Blues Society. Winners of folk, regional music and songwriting awards including “Blues Song Of The Year” in 2020’s world Independent Music Awards. Vocalist Rachel Fields is a featured Arkansas Arts Council grant recipient and is known for her consistently pure vocals and edgy flute playing, she has been called “a national treasure” by Jude Gold of Guitar Player Magazine and the group have been referred to as “NWA’s hardest working musical group,” by KUAF’s radio program Ozarks At Large.

The deadline to register is June 8 (or until the event is full!). Sorry, no drop-ins. We must know in advance in order to provide enough food and space for everyone.

Proof of vaccination will not be required at this time, and masks are optional. As always, this is subject to change as the COVID situation is constantly changing, and we thank you for your understanding. Please be mindful and respect others' desire to keep their distance.
